Tonight was Jason's Consecration at the beautiful Plum Street Temple. It as a wonderful service - very festive. It was the combination of Shabbat, Simchat Torah and Consecration but the kids definitely had the biggest part!

The kids came in about 15 minutes into the service carrying the little Torahs. We spent a long time making his Torah cover and he was very proud of it!

Jason sat second to last on the right side in the front row.

The Consecration Class of 5770. They sang 4 great songs that we ALL know by heart now from how often we practiced singing them in the car!

This was the best part. All 3 Rabbis were there and they each spent about 3-4 minutes talking to each child, individually (and with their parents) about their Torah cover that they made, the meaning of this very special night and the exciting years ahead learning about Judaism.

Then the Rabbi said a very special blessing consecrating him to God and to the teachings of the Torah.

The recession

Proud Parents! We had some friends that went with us to see this moment and so we got to get the pictures of Jason being blessed and our picture snapped!
Congratulations to our little man! We are so proud of you!
