hard decisions

Yesterday, our family made the very difficult decison to withdraw the life sustaining care for my dad. It's the unanimous opinion of all the doctors that his chances of surviving are slim and if he should, he would require total care and would not have any sort of functionality. We have to wait out the required 48 hours but with that said, tomorrow will likely prove to be a very difficult day.

On a more bizarre note, for 3 days, my mom was not able to find a key to their safe deposit box in the place she was sure it was. At the hospital she lightheartedly asked my dad where it was. That night, she found the key, in the same place she had previously looked and a day later she found the second key (in the same place) which she had thought to have been lost for years. I find these types of occurences to be VERY intriguing....
