fearfest

Kings Island re-opened today for Fearfest in celebration of Halloween. We took the kids there and of course Jason had a blast. He got to trick-or-treat at the 7 or so stations of candy (and then eat it all!) And while he is very skeptical, still, of the oversized Nickelodeon characters, he actually walked up to Dora and hugged her! He surprises me more and more every day. While he is getting into Sponge Bob lately, he didn't want to hug him or any of the other characters.

Jason had the best time walking through the bubble maze. I thought he would stand under it and drown himself in them like a lot of other kids did, but instead he stood more around the edges. Still, he really enjoyed it and wanted to go through it again. Rachel didn't care much for it but at least it wasn't like last year where the bubbles were all throughout the little maze. This year, they had one of the biggest bubble machines I had EVER seen, but it was contained in just one corner. You did have to slosh through them to walk out of it but it was a lot of fun.

It was a beautiful day - sunny and in the low 80s. It hardly feels like October is just 2 days away!

On a side note, I am rather impressed at the quality of these photos seeing that they were taken from my Palm Treo!
